Jay Booth
Founder and Managing Partner
Jay Booth is the President and Founder of CGB, which was established in 2000. He is as active Managing Partner that focuses on consulting with his clients on employee benefits, compliance, implementing online tools and preparing for legislative changes. He was previously the president of the Northern Virginia chapter of NAHU and is still an active member as he believes it very important be involved in and effect positive change in Health Insurance.
Jay has been happily married for 25 years to his wife Julie. Together they have 5 kids, four girls and a boy. For many years Jay coached his oldest daughters on their travel softball teams. In his spare time he is running his kids to gymnastics or finding a foursome to play a round of golf.
Katie Harvey
Managing Partner and Senior Account Manager
Katie has been with CGB since 2006 and recently made partner in 2017. Katie is our Large Group Account Manager. She also provides training and support to all staff. Katie enjoys strategizing with each broker and client to bring the best benefits package solution that meets the demands of the employers’ bottom line and needs of the employees.
Katie resides in Haymarket with her husband and four school age kids. She enjoys family vacations, watching her kids play sports and following her favorite Boston sports team.
Mark Carroll
Managing Partner
Mark began working in the employee benefits arena in 1991. He worked for Kaiser Permanente starting in sales and ending as the Central Eastern Sales Manager in 2000. During that time he gained valuable experience in small group health reform during the Clinton administration and was actively involved with the integration of a local Humana Health Plan. Currently on Aetna and Kaiser Permanente broker advisory boards he enjoys working with carriers as they bring new products to market. Mark joined the Capital Group Benefits team as a Managing Partner in September 2013 – sharing the goal of bringing comprehensive analysis and constructive guidance to all clients regardless of size or location.
Originally from northwest Pennsylvania, Mark resides with his wife Calista in Chantilly, Virginia. He enjoys boating, golf, and spending quality time with his family especially his grandson, Brady!
Darren Harvey
Agent
Darren joined Capital Group Benefits in 2015 as an outside salesman. Darren brings over ten years of sales experience to our team and provides an excellent level of customer service to everyone he meets. Darren is active in Chambers, NAHU and Business Networking events to help grow our business and service the needs of our clients.
When not working, Darren can be found spending time with his wife and four beautiful children, or on the Golf course.
Ryan Perkins
Benefits Specialist
Ryan Perkins, originally from Ithaca, New York, is a seasoned HR consultant and insurance broker at Capital Group Benefits in Northern Virginia. With extensive experience in sales and a deep understanding of human capital management, payroll, and HRIS technology, he‘s established himself as a trusted expert. Ryan’s passion for serving business owners and navigating HR complexities drives his career. Outside work, he values family time with his wife and 2 children. When he’s available, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding and live music.
Chris Erickson
Enrollment Specialist
As the enrollment specialist, Chris processes employee enrollments, cancellations, and changes. She makes sure all documents being processed with our carriers are audited and accurate. Chris understands the essence of good customer service is forming relationships with our clients. Providing service that equals or exceeds our clients expectations has been her priority since joining the CGB team in 2009.
When not at the office I can be spotted cheering on my beloved Ohio State football team, or cruising the backroads in my BMW roadster convertible.
Jenna Booth
Account Manager
Jenna has been with Capital Group Benefits since December of 2013 and began working as one of our Account Managers in 2017 after receiving her degree in Business Management. As one of our Large Group Account Managers, she assists with strategy and implementation of a variety of plan types. She also provides training and support to the Service Team.
In her free time, Jenna enjoys going to the farmers market with her husband and dog or watching the latest Netflix original series with her cat.
Lorrie Dezzutti
Account Manager
Lorrie became part of the CGB team in September of 2017 after a 20+ years career in IT and Marketing. In 2020 she received her broker license and now provides client support to our Small Group clients assisting both existing and prospective clients. Lorrie supports our small group clients during their renewal period by running quotes and analyzing plan options followed by open enrollment with the groups. She assists prospective clients in understanding the insurance options available and provides consultation on what benefits fit best for her clients.
Lorrie resides in Gainesville with her husband, middle-school age son and their three dogs - Ivory Petunia, Azha and Charlotte. She enjoys camping with her family and friends as well as having friends over to share the smoked BBQ prepared by her husband.
Allison DuPree
Account Manager
Alli began working for CGB in February of 2020 as an Executive Assistant, bringing over three years of customer service and administrative experience. She has since graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College with an associate’s degree in Applied Sciences, received her producer license in May of 2021 and now works full-time as one of our Account Managers. She provides support to CGB’s small to mid-size clients and prospects by running quotes, analyzing plan options, presentation development, on-site support and more. She is passionate about the care of others and will persist until the employer and employee’s needs are satisfied.
Alli enjoys spending time with her daughter, Willa, her dog, Baloo, and learning about all things plants. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her collection of houseplants, and taking on a new DIY or art project!
Jennifer Shaw
Account Coordinator
Jennifer joined the CGB team in 2022. She brings a wealth of information after a career in practice management. Jennifer assists brokers and clients alike with claims and carrier issue resolution. Jennifer’s clinical perspective helps the CGB team navigate new laws & regulations and enjoys meeting and exceeding our clients expectations. She enjoys helping the agents provide a full suite of administrative services and solutions.
Jennifer lives in Haymarket with her husband. She enjoys entertaining, cooking and visiting her family in Florida whenever she can!
